Zhou Fang: Court Ladies Wearing Flowered Headdresses

This scroll is a typical silk painting of ladies in silk fabrics in the Tang Dynasty. Simple and elegant in color and texture, the painting has no background but several plump ladies and pets painted with fine strokes and strong colors. Zhou Fang, also good at painting figures of Buddha, is well-known for his “Zhou-style” paintings.
